Reduced Tuition for Active Military Members, DOD Civilians assigned to Ellsworth AFB and Spouses/Dependents:

Active Duty/DOD Civilians:

Black Hills State University has been approved to offer a program with reduced tuition rates for all current Active Duty military personnel, Active Guard Reserve (Title 10/32/5) and DOD Civilians assigned to Ellsworth AFB enrolled in courses at BHSU. The reduced rate is $250 per credit hour for undergraduate and $300 per credit hour for graduate classes. The federal government currently provides federal tuition assistance up to a maximum of $250 per credit hour to military students. The reduced rates applies to classes taken at any of our branch campuses or online.

Spouses/Dependents:

The reduced tuition rate is also available to Spouses and Dependents of Active Duty Ellsworth AFB servicemembers.  Spouses and Dependents are eligible for the $250 per credit hour for undergraduate and $300 per credit hour for graduate classes. The reduced rates only applies to classes taken on base or online. If you take classes at BHSU-RC or the Spearfish campus you would pay the regular rate.
