The online master’s in education at Black Hills State University was included on a list of the Best Online Programs for 2020 by U.S. News & World Report. BHSU offers an online master’s of education in reading. Four master’s of science degrees are also offered online through BHSU: strategic leadership, curriculum & instruction, secondary education, and sustainability.

Nearly 100 undergraduate physics majors from throughout the U.S. will be on campus at Black Hills State University Jan. 17-19 for the Conference for Undergraduate Women in Physics (CUWiP). The conference is held in collaboration with the Sanford Underground Research Facility (Sanford Lab).

Black Hills State University was named one of the Top 200 Colleges for Indigenous Students by Winds of Change Magazine, published by the American Indian Science and Engineering Society (AISES). The major criteria for selection include a university’s supportive Native community and statistics on degrees.
