Spearfish Room Rentals Student Union Room Reservations
The Student Union staff is happy to assist with helping plan and host events ranging from small intimate meetings to large banquets. Please contact the David B. Miller Yellow Jacket Student Union staff for more information regarding potential fees and any large-scale events at 605-642-6102. The Student Union has three different rate structures for customers utilizing the facilities. These rates only apply to normal business hours. There will be a fee of $100/hour for after-hours events in addition to any other applicable fees. Recognized Student Organizations and BHSU Departments may utilize the facility free of charge during normal business hours for university-related events. $15 base fee for use of technology or student union supplies in any of the conference rooms.
$15 per every two hours for use of technology in the Jacket Legacy Room or Club Buzz.
$15 fee for use of any meeting space using the student union phone lines (i.e. conference calls).

Black Hills State University - Rapid City provides a variety of functional meeting spaces for trainings, seminars, workshops, and conferences in an architecturally elegant and technologically sophisticated building. The 59,000-square foot facility has 20 rooms for groups ranging in size from 8 to 99.
In addition, BHSU-RC has wireless internet access throughout and full-time, on-site technical assistance.
BHSU-RC offers abundant free parking and convenient accessibility to the Rapid City Regional Airport, downtown Rapid City, major hotels, restaurants, and Interstate-90.

The conference rooms at BHSU-RC are perfect for a small, intimate meeting. Our conference rooms can accommodate 8-22 people and come equipped with a 75” TV for presentations.
The classrooms at BHSU-RC are arranged in an instructional setup but can be adjusted to suit your meeting and training needs. Our classrooms can accommodate 23-77 people. Each classroom is equipped with a projector, an instructor computer, laptop hook-up, and document camera. Each desk has power outlets built in so that you can charge your electronic device while learning.
BHSU-RC features a training tool seldom found at most conference centers— an instructional computer lab. Our 30-seat PC lab is perfect for training your staff on the latest software. The computers come loaded with Microsoft Office, but our on-site staff can also install software or training materials your company requires.
BHSU-RC is perfect for large gatherings as well. We have a tiered lecture hall that can accommodate 99 people. This room is equipped with a large projection screen for PowerPoint presentations and videos, as well as a public address system with wireless microphones that allow everyone in the room to feel like they are in the front row.

There will be additional fees ($50 an hour) for use outside of the regular building hours.
Reservations must be made 5 business days in advance.
Black tablecloths are available for use at $2 each. Having food catered will be an automatic charge for 2 tablecloths.
If you need to store supplies, there may be a storage fee applied.
*All BOR affiliated student groups and organizations. If there is a registration fee
for your event, you will be charged a regular room fee.
** If your event falls during non-business hours, there will be a $50 an hour fee
to use the building.
