Rapid City houses the largest nursing program in the state as a partnership between BHSU and SDSU. Starting day one, students gain hands-on experience through clinical opportunities and immersive simulations that prepare future nurses for the fast-pace and high precision required of today’s healthcare professionals.
This program helped me optimize my education in ways I never would have expected. The small class sizes allowed me to build meaningful relationships with both my classmates and professors, creating a supportive environment where I felt comfortable asking any question, overall deepening my understanding of the material. I have never felt more confident or prepared in my education, thanks to the genuine care and dedication of the faculty.

BHSU’s Applied Health Science degree played a huge role in helping me transition seamlessly
into SDSU’s nursing program. Throughout my time at the Rapid City campus, I felt incredibly
supported by both my professors and counselors. My anatomy and physiology professor
at the Rapid City location was one of the best instructors I have ever had and played
a key role in preparing me for the rigor of nursing school. The faculty were knowledgeable
and truly invested in my success, which helped me feel confident and prepared as I
entered my program. My counselors were also very accommodating and helpful in connecting
me with valuable resources and opportunities in Rapid City. Overall, my experience
at BHSU gave me a strong foundation and the support I needed to succeed in my nursing
journey! Micaela Russo Discover how you can achieve your dreams without breaking the bank. Learn about our
