




Black Hills State University welcomed U.S. Senate Majority Leader John Thune to campus on Aug. 28. During the visit, President Steve Elliott highlighted the many ways BHSU is serving students and strengthening South Dakota's workforce, including through new academic programs, positive enrollment trends, and the work of the Center for Civic Engagement. Thune also toured campus and met with student groups and student-athletes.
The visit provided an opportunity to showcase the University's continued impact on students, communities, and workforce development across South Dakota.
