Black Hills State University alumni, including former track & field and cross-country athletes, are invited to participate in the 33rd annual Alumni Mile weekend January 16-17.
“This event allows for our current student athletes to connect with athletes from the past,” said BHSU director of track & field and cross-country coach Brian Medigovich. “The support from the Stadium Sports Grill helps make this event possible.”
On Friday, January 16, the ‘warm-up’ will take place with an evening social at the Stadium Sports Grill.
On Saturday, January 17, the ‘starting line’ of the race is scheduled to begin at 3:15 p.m. in the field house at the Young Center. Runners should arrive stretched and ready to run for the scheduled start time. This event is part of the Dave Little Invitational meet. The race time may vary.
Following the Alumni Mile and the university 4x400m relay races, there will be ‘finish line’ activities with complimentary hors d’oeuvres and beverages in the Joy (Proctor) Krautschun Alumni/Foundation Welcome Center sponsored by the Stadium Sports Grill.
