Black Hills State University student-athletes thrive on and off the field, excelling academically and giving back to the community that cheers them on from the stands. 

BHSU is a member of NCAA Division II, Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC), and National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association (NIRA). The Donald E. Young Sports & Fitness Center, home of the Yellow Jackets, offers the largest collection of exercise equipment in the region, a field house with a walking track, and an aquatic center with lap lanes.
