BHSU PRE-OPTOMETRY PROGRAM

About

Entering a career as an optometrist is a difficult, but rewarding task. Your first step is to earn a bachelor’s degree from BHSU. We have created a recommended program of study that will make your journey to becoming an optometrist a reality.

Students should earn a bachelor’s degree before applying to optometry professional school. Optometry school requires that you have successfully completed courses in English, mathematics, physics, chemistry and biology prior to admissions. Once you have completed your education, all applicants are required to take the Optometry Admissions Test (OAT) to measure your academic ability and scientific comprehension.
