Center for the Advancement of Math and Science Education

The Center for the Advancement of Math and Science Education (CAMSE)'s mission is to promote effective and meaningful teaching and learning of science and mathematics at all levels. Areas of emphasis include:

  • Support of teachers already in the field through professional development in math content, science content, and innovative teaching strategies
  • Dissemination and evaluation of instructional materials
  • Research on the teaching and learning of mathematics and science
  • Preparation of future teachers

CAMSE provides a number of opportunities for teachers to develop expertise in promoting meaningful learning of mathematics and science.

Resource Materials

Sample Math and Science Curricula: The Center houses a library of research-based instructional materials for both mathematics and science that can be checked out by practicing and prospective teachers.

Professional Development Program for Teachers

Sanford Lab Education and Outreach
