The Young Center is unable to hold the March/April 2020 Session for swim lessons due to continued health concerns regarding Covid-19. The health and safety of our students, patrons, and community members are our priority and we appreciate your understanding as we make decisions to honor that. Please contact raquel.kopeck@yellowjackets.bhsu.edu for further information on registrant refunds.
Aquatic Center is open to Aquatic and Combo Young Center members, students, and for day users.
Young Center day passes are $5 per person per day. A Young Center day pass does not give you access to the Aquatic Center during times of rental (Black Hills Gold Swim Team) or when teams are practicing. Please check the pool schedule above for open swim times.
The Donald E. Young Center houses an Aquatic Center that is available to students and members of the community. There is a large pool for lap swimming and a smaller pool for exercises. The operation of the pools in the Aquatic Center must meet the needs of a diverse group of users. To meet this goal, a middle of the road approach has been selected for water temperatures. The small pool is approximately 89º-93º, large pool is 78º-82º and air temperature is 85º.
Call 605.642.6096 for information.
