The recipient will be involved in athletics and major in Education.
Awarded annually to 12 students, divided equally between the Fall and Spring semesters. Will be awarded to Senior class students during their student teaching semester, demonstrating financial need, pursuing an education degree, and achieving a 3.00 GPA. Preference is given to students who intend to teach in grades K through 8.
Awarded to a Junior or Senior student pursuing a program in Education. Preference will be given to a Spearfish High School graduate. If a Spearfish graduate is not available, the recipient must be from western South Dakota.
Awarded to a Junior or Senior class student pursuing an Education major. Preference will be given to a South Dakota resident from Walworth or Campbell County who has achieved a 3.00 GPA.
Awarded to a student pursuing a degree in Education. Preference will be given to a student with a 3.00 GPA or higher and who has completed a minimum of 45 credit hours. The recipient will be required to maintain a 3.00 GPA and to submit two essays:
Awarded to a student pursuing a degree in Education or Business. Preference is given to a student from Sturgis Brown High School. Recipient must maintain a 2.50 GPA. Award is renewable for up to four years.
Awarded to a Junior or Senior class student pursuing a degree in Education. Preference is given to students who do not qualify for any other federal aid. The recipient will be required to maintain a 3.00 GPA.
Awarded to a Junior or Senior class student pursuing a degree in Education. The recipient will be required to maintain a 2.50 GPA.
Awarded to a female Junior class student pursuing a degree in Education. Preference is given to a student from the Black Hills region from a South Dakota hometown. The recipient will be required to maintain a 3.50 GPA, complete a student information form helpful to the organization's scholarship committee, and write two essays:
Awarded to a Junior and a Senior class student pursuing a degree in Education. Students will be required to maintain a 2.00 GPA and to enroll in 15 credit hours each semester.
Awarded to a student pursuing a degree in Elementary education or Secondary History Teaching. The recipient will be required to maintain a 3.00 GPA.
Awarded to a student pursuing a degree in Education. Preference is given to a student from western South Dakota. The recipient will be required to maintain a 2.00 GPA.
Awarded to a non-traditional student pursuing a degree in Education. The recipient will be required to maintain a 3.00 GPA.
Awarded to a student pursuing a degree in Education. Preference will be given to a student who is a single parent from WY. The recipient will be required to maintain a 3.00 GPA. Not available to Physical Education majors.
Awarded to a Sophomore, Junior, or Senior class student pursuing a degree in Education. Preference will be given to a student with demonstrated leadership ability. The recipient will be required to maintain a 3.00 GPA.
Awarded to a Junior or Senior class student pursuing a degree in Education. Preference will be given to a student with demonstrated financial need. The recipient will be required to maintain a 2.70 GPA.
Awarded to a student pursuing a degree in Education. Preference will be given to a student from western SD. The recipient will be required to maintain a 2.75 GPA. Minimum $1,000 each.
Awarded to a Junior or Senior class student pursuing a baccalaureate degree. Preference will be given to a US Citizen. The recipient will be required to maintain a 2.75 GPA and to enroll in 15 credit hours each semester.
Awarded to a student pursuing a degree in Elementary or Secondary Education. Preference will be given to a student with demonstrated financial need and who is involved in any extracurricular activity, club, or organization. The recipient will be required to maintain a 2.00 GPA.
Education scholarships will be awarded during even years 2016-2017, 2018-2019, etc.
Awarded to a student pursuing a degree in Elementary or Secondary Education. Preference will be given to a student with demonstrated financial need and who is involved in an extra-curricular activity, club, or organization. The recipient will be required to maintain a 2.00 GPA.
Greatest need will be awarded during odd years 2017-2018, 2019-2020, etc.
Awarded to a student pursuing a degree in Education. The recipient will be required to maintain a 3.00 GPA.
Awarded to a Junior or Senior class student pursuing a degree in Education. The recipient will be required to maintain a 3.50 GPA.
Awarded to a student with demonstrated financial need pursuing a degree in Education. Preference will be given to a student who has completed a minimum of 28 credit hours, is a resident of Haakon, Meade, Jackson, Jones, Stanley, Dewey, or Zeibach counties, and has a farming or ranching background. The recipient will be required to maintain a 2.00 GPA and must be enrolled in courses only at the Spearfish campus.
Awarded to a Senior student pursuing a degree in Education. Preference will be given to a student active in sports, dance, or recreation. The recipient will be required to maintain a 2.00 GPA.
Awarded to a Senior class student pursuing a degree in Education. Preference will be given to a student who intends to work in a career field assisting youth. The recipient will be required to maintain a 2.00 GPA and to enroll in 15 credits each semester except the term when they are student teaching.
"We don't care that much about grades but about character." Awarded to a Junior or Senior class student pursuing a degree in Education. Preference will be given to a student who demonstrates drive and integrity and is known for humble appreciation of family, friends, and strangers.
Awarded to a Junior or Senior class student pursuing a degree in Education. The recipient will be required to maintain a 3.00 GPA.
Awarded to a Sophomore, Junior, or Senior class student pursuing a degree in Elementary or Special Education. Preference will be given to a student with an interest in teaching at the middle school level. The recipient will be required to maintain a 3.00 GPA.
Awarded to a Junior or Senior class student pursuing a degree in Education. Preference will be given to a Spearfish HS graduate or a student graduating from a western SD high school. The recipient will be required to maintain a 3.00 GPA.
Awarded to a student pursuing a degree in Education. Preference will be given to a student from SD from a rural community with a population of 1,500 or less. The recipient will be required to maintain a 2.00 GPA.
Awarded to a student pursuing a degree in Elementary Education or Early Childhood Development. Preference will be given to an adult (over 25 years of age) returning to complete a teacher certification. The recipient will be required to maintain a 2.00 GPA and to enroll in only BHSU courses.
Awarded to a Junior or Senior class student pursuing a degree in Elementary Education. Preference will be given to a student from Casper, WY. The recipient will be required to maintain a 3.00 GPA.
Awarded to a Junior or Senior class student pursuing a degree in Elementary Education. Preference will be given to a student from West River SD. The recipient will be required to maintain a 2.00 GPA.
Awarded to a Sophomore, Junior, or Senior student pursuing a degree in Elementary Education. The recipient must maintain a 2.50 GPA.
Awarded to a student pursuing a degree in Elementary Education. Preference is given to a resident of WY. Recipient will be required to maintain a 3.00 GPA and complete 30 credits each year.
Awarded to a Junior or Senior class student pursuing a degree in Elementary Education. The recipient will be required to maintain a 3.00 GPA.
Awarded to a Junior or Senior class student pursuing a degree in Elementary Education. Preference will be given to a student who was involved in 4H from a farming or ranching background. The recipient will be required to maintain a 2.75 GPA.
Awarded to a student pursuing a degree in Elementary Education. Preference will be given to a student from SD, NE, WY, MT, or ND. The recipient will be required to maintain a 2.00 GPA.
Awarded to a Junior or Senior class student pursuing a degree in Elementary Education. Preference is given to a student who displays characteristics of compassion and a sincere desire to help and encourage every child to reach their greatest potential. The recipient will be required to maintain a minimum 2.50 GPA.
Awarded to a Junior with demonstrated financial need to pursue a degree in Elementary Education. Preference is given to an SD resident. The recipient will be required to maintain a 3.00 GPA and to enroll in 14 credit hours each semester.
Awarded to a Sophomore, Junior, or Senior class student pursuing a degree in Elementary Education. Preference will be given to a student with demonstrated financial need. The recipient will be required to maintain a 3.00 GPA.
Awarded to a Junior or Senior class student pursuing a degree in Elementary Education. Preference will be given to a student with demonstrated financial need. The recipient will be required to maintain a 2.70 GPA and to enroll in a minimum of 15 credit hours each semester.

Awarded to a Junior or Senior class student pursuing a degree in Elementary or Special Education. Preference will be given to a student from Sturgis or Whitewood. The recipient will be required to maintain a 2.00 GPA and provide a one-page biographical sketch outlining his professional goals, including a photo.
Awarded to a Senior class student pursuing a degree in Elementary Education. Preference will be given to an SD native. The recipient will be required to maintain a 2.00 GPA.
Awarded to a student pursuing a degree in Elementary Education or Early Childhood Development. Preference will be given to an adult (over 25 years of age) returning to complete a teacher certification. The recipient will be required to maintain a 2.00 GPA and to enroll in only BHSU courses.

Awarded to a Junior or senior class student pursuing a degree in History Education. Preference will be given to a student from Zion, IL. The recipient will be required to maintain a 3.00 GPA. US citizen.
Awarded to a student pursuing a degree in Elementary education or Secondary History Teaching. The recipient will be required to maintain a 3.00 GPA.
Awarded to a Junior or Senior class student pursuing a degree in Mathematics or Science Education. Students will be required to maintain a 2.00 GPA.
Awarded to a student pursuing a degree in Science or Science Education. The recipient will be required to maintain a 2.00 GPA.
Awarded to a student pursuing a degree in Mathematics or Science Education who graduated from McCook Central High School in Salem, SD. The recipient will be required to maintain a 3.00 GPA.
Awarded to a Sophomore class student pursuing a degree in Science Teaching. The recipient will be required to maintain a 3.00 GPA.
Awarded to a student pursuing a degree in Mathematics Teaching or Science Teaching. The recipient will be required to maintain a 2.00 GPA.
Awarded to a Junior or Senior class student pursuing a degree in Math Teaching or Science Teaching. Preference will be given to a student from a midwestern state. The recipient will be required to maintain a 3.00 GPA.
Awarded to a student pursuing a degree in Mathematics or Mathematics Education. Preference will be given to a student with demonstrated financial need. The recipient will be required to maintain a 2.00 GPA and to enroll in all BHSU courses each semester.
Awarded to a student pursuing a degree in Music or Music Education who is a participant in the Belle Fourche Cowboy Band and/or the Northern Hills Community Band. Preference will be given to students who participate in both bands. Students who participate in other local community bands may be considered if there is no other candidate that meets the criteria. The recipient will be required to maintain a 2.00 GPA.
Enrolled at BHSU as a full-time student. Have a declared major in vocal music. Preference will be given to a student with an Education emphasis. 2.0 GPA.
Awarded to a student pursuing a degree in Music or Music Education. The recipient will be required to maintain a 3.00 GPA.
Awarded to a student pursuing a degree in Education. Preference given to an SD Resident student involved in the Music program at BHSU. The recipient will be required to maintain a 3.00 GPA.
Awarded to a Project Second student pursuing teaching licensure. Preference will be given to a student with demonstrated financial need who is fully admitted to the College of Education. The recipient will be required to maintain a 3.00 GPA.
Awarded to a Junior or Senior class student pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Development or Special Education. The recipient will be required to maintain a 3.00 GPA.
Awarded to a Junior or Senior Class Native American student pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Development or Special Education. The recipient will be required to maintain a 2.00 GPA.
Awarded to a student pursuing a degree in Elementary or Special Education. The recipient will be required to maintain a 2.00 GPA.
Awarded to a Junior or Senior class student pursuing a degree in Education. Preference will be given to a student pursuing a degree in Special Education or Elementary Education. The recipient will be required to maintain a 2.70 GPA.
The award will be selected by the BHSU Student Union and Student Activities/Engagement staff with the assistance of the College of Education.
