Artwork by the fine arts faculty at Black Hills State University is on display in a group exhibition at the Dahl Arts Center in Rapid City. The works will be on display in the Sen. Stan Adelstein and Lynda K. Clark Gallery from Oct. 11 to Jan. 4.
The exhibition features pieces by BHSU Professors Michael Baum, Bridget Beck, Justin Bergh, Skott Chandler, Gina Gibson, Allen Morris, Quintin Owens, J. Desy Schoenewies, Erin Sedra, and Katie Wolff. The faculty showcase their artistic styles through various mediums, including screenprints, stained glass, oil paintings, ceramics, and photography.
“The Dahl Arts Center is a premier location in the Black Hills. It is an honor to have this group exhibition, and I think it’s a wonderful opportunity to engage with the community,” said Gibson, professor of graphic design at BHSU.
For those interested in interacting with the art on exhibit, the BHSU fine arts faculty will host art activities during the Community Appreciation Night at the Dahl on Oct. 24 at 5 p.m. Adjunct professor Bridget Beck will invite the public to get close to her sculptures, learn about her process, and take a piece of art home.
