Test scores are not required for admission to BHSU. However, submission of test scores may result in an increased scholarship award, and will assist in initial course placement.

These will be vital accounts throughout your time as a BHSU student. Watch your email for notification on when and how to activate these accounts. Your accounts must be active prior to your New Student Orientation Day.
Registration for Fall 2024 New Student Orientation (NSO) will open in April.
Click here to submit a copy of your immunization records. (Proof of two doses of the MMR immunization, proof of antibody titer, or signed medical or religious exemption form). This is required per South Dakota Codified Law and South Dakota Board of Regents policy 2.3.
Request that your final official transcript be sent directly to the BHSU Admissions Office from your high school, college, or university.
To be considered official, transcripts must be sent directly from your high school, colleges, and universities attended directly to the Admissions Office through an electronic ordering service or via mail to BHSu Admissions Office, 1200 University St Unit: 9502, Spearfish, SD 57799.
During New Student Orientation you will meet with Professional Advisors and faculty that will assist you with creating your first year class schedule.
Fall housing assignments are made on a first-come, first-served basis, in the order they were received. Housing assignments will be made in May, and sent to students via email.
