The BHSU Theatre program offers many avenues for you to get involved beyond the classroom. From internships to joining our Theatre Society, you can be a part of the BHSU theatre experience in many ways. If you are interested in getting involved, contact the head of the Theatre program, Casey Hibbert at 605.642.6268 or through his email at Casey.Hibbert@BHSU.edu.
Theatre Society is a BHSU organization which is open to anyone with an interest in the theatre. We also hold open auditions for our productions and are always looking for people with an interest in the theatre. You DO NOT have to be a theater major to be in our shows! We will find a job for anyone who is willing to work. We also offer backstage work for those who don't want to be on stage!
Props and Liners is the oldest student organization at BHSU. Beginning in 1921, this organization is a Theatre Honorary Fraternity. Students must meet set upon requirements within the department before being invited to join the group.
We currently offer internships for the BHSU Summer Stage Program. Students are also encouraged to look outside the department for internship opportunities. We offer assistance and support whenever possible.
