Laura Prosser

Laura Prosser has been teaching undergraduate accounting courses for more than 25 years including Principles of Accounting, Intermediate Accounting and Managerial Accounting. As a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Management Accountant, Laura has worked to encourage students to realize the many different career options in the accounting profession. Prosser holds a Master of Business Administration and an undergraduate degree in accounting both from the University of South Dakota.

Laura started the Annual Accounting Career Fair in 2011. This event matches employers with BHSU accounting students and has resulted in many successful internships and career positions for BHSU students. Prosser continues to be involved with the organization of the event. Laura’s community involvement includes membership on the Northern Hills Federal Credit Union board of directors and the Credit Union Mortgage Direct board of directors. She is also a member of the South Dakota CPA Society where she is involved with Promoting the Profession Committee.
