Alexander Lang

Dr. Alexander Lang is a historian of modern Europe who specializes in modern Italian, French, and North African history. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Texas-Austin (2017), an M.A. from Durham University (2012), and a B.A. from Rutgers University (2010). His research explores fascism as a transnational and imperial phenomenon in the Mediterranean. More broadly, he is interested in radical political movements and the ways in which political ideas are translated into actions. He teaches Western Civilization I and II, Non-Western Civilizations, The World Wars, Colonial and Post-Colonial Africa, The Middle-East, and Modern Italy.
