Aric Bakeberg

Aric is our TRIO Professional Advisor. Aric was born and raised in the Black Hills and had the privilege of earning a Bachelor of Science degree from BHSU in Mass Communications, focusing on Photography and Commercial Art. They feel exceptionally lucky to have experienced some of the far reaches of the world and are extremely happy to call Spearfish home. As a TRIO Professional Advisor, Aric especially enjoys listening to students’ goals and dreams for the future, then working together to make those ambitions a reality. Aric is also passionate about seeing students grow and develop their understanding of the world while overcoming obstacles, watching them realize the power they have over their own lives, and fostering the sense that nearly anything is possible and within their reach. Because it’s true! When not advising, Aric enjoys spending time with their wife and pets, losing cell service in the outdoors, visiting family and friends, playing too much disc golf, hunting and fishing, riding motorcycles and horses, traveling, finding or cooking the best and most interesting foods, learning new information or skills, and collecting countless other hobbies and experiences.
