BHSU ANNOUNCES SPRING 2025 MUSIC EVENTS

The Music Department at Black Hills State University is announcing its spring concert schedule. All events are free and open to the public, and performances will take place in Meier Hall unless an alternative location is specified.  

The semester’s events will begin with a Jazz Concert on Feb. 21 at 7 p.m. In March, performances will continue with a Band Concert on Mar. 2 at 2 p.m. and the BHSU Choral Festival on Mar. 25.  

April will kick off with a Honeycomb Brass Concert on Apr. 6 at 2 p.m. The month will continue with the Northern Hills Chamber Chorale Concert on Apr. 11, a Jazz Concert on Apr. 12, and a Band Concert on Apr. 25. These three events will all begin at 7 p.m. April performances will also include the Spring Music Festival on Apr. 26 at 10 a.m. on the campus green and the Orchestra Concert later that day at 5 p.m. The semester’s events will conclude with a Choir Concert on Apr. 27 at 2 p.m.

April 

5 – Student Recital: Mary George, alto saxophone at 7 p.m.

12 – Jazz Concert at 7 p.m. 

18 – Faculty Recital: Skye van Duuren and Symeon Waseen at 7 p.m. 

25 – Band Concert at 7 p.m. 

26 – Spring Music Festival at 10 a.m. (Campus Green)  

26 – Orchestra Concert at 5 p.m. 

27 – Choir Concert at 2 p.m. 

May 

2 – Student Recital: Layton Stenkamp, trumpet at 7 p.m.
