Why earn your Leadership degree at BHSU?

The Bachelor of Applied Science in Leadership program is designed to equip you with many of the skills employers report and research indicates are needed to obtain employment, advance within a profession, and assume a managerial or leadership position within an organization.

This degree program will prepare you for greater leadership roles within your chosen field. You will learn to master soft skill areas like leadership, team building, strategic planning, and organizational communication.

The Bachelor of Applied Science in Leadership is for students who possess an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree, have completed past community college or technical school course work, or have occupational/career credits.

  • 3 CMST- Gen Ed - Speech (1 class) - 3 semester hours

  • 3 MATH - Gen Ed - Mathematics (1 class) - 3 semester hours

  • 6 Gen Ed - Social Science (2 classes from different subjects) - 6 semester hours

  • 6 Gen Ed - Arts & Humanities (2 classes from different subjects or a foreign language sequence) - 6 semester hours

  • 6-8 Gen Ed - Natural Sciences & Lab (2 classes/corresponding labs) - 6-8 semester hours


Minor and Required Electives

A minor is required with this major plus electives to total 120 hours, of which 36 hours must be 300-400 level courses.
