Paid fellowship offers BHSU students the opportunity to conduct research with faculty members

Emily Weatherill of Madison is one of 14 students at Black Hills State University who received a $4,000 fellowship to conduct scientific research with a faculty mentor at BHSU this year. Emily will graduate in May with a double major in biology and psychology. She is currently completing a year of biology research alongside biology professor Dr. Dave Bergmann.

BHSU welcomes Pakistani and Tunisian students through IREX, Department of State partnership

BHSU welcomed students from Pakistan and Tunisia this academic year thanks to a new collaboration with the International Research & Exchanges Board (IREX) and the U.S. Department of State. The program promotes a better understanding of the U.S. abroad, particularly among future world leaders, by facilitating study at a U.S. college or university for talented, highly motivated undergraduate students.
