Location: Virtually over Zoom
Description: The Black Hills State University Enactus students and the South Dakota Center for Enterprise Opportunity will host a Tech for Retirees session with a focus on how to use Zoom from 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 8, 2020. Students will offer one-on-one telephone conversations with retirees to help them load and use Zoom effectively. Follow-up practice sessions can be offered ahead if needed.

Registration is limited to 12 participants for this first session, but if more interest exists, the students will stage additional sessions this fall. Enactus students will contact those who cannot participate in the first session to confirm a date ahead, after October 8. All times will be on Thursdays at 2:00 p.m

The next BHSU Town Hall meeting will be a discussion of summer school – taking a look at the successes and challenges this year and plans for next year. Presenters will be BHSU President Laurie Nichols, Kathy Johnson, Priscilla Romkema and Don Coble.

BHSU student gains another incredible research opportunity

After his summer 2019 experience as a Davis-Bahcall Scholar, Black Hills State University student Curtis Petersen gained another research opportunity—this time a little closer to home. Petersen, a mathematics education major from Parade, S.D., was accepted into the NSF-funded BHSU Underground Science Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU).
