Black Hills State University is announcing the spring dates for its annual Geek Speak series, a collection of lectures presented by faculty and guest speakers. All sessions are free and open to the public.
Geek Speak was founded in 2013 by Dr. Courtney Huse-Wika, professor of English at BHSU and is sponsored by the University Honors Program.
“The Geek Speak series is a great opportunity to learn from the expertise of BHSU faculty and invited guests. Speakers chose a topic that they are passionate about and want to share with the community,” said Dr. Katrina Jensen, professor of chemistry at BHSU and director of the Honors Program. “I love that I get to learn something new at every talk.”
This semester, lecture topics will include the Fukushima nuclear disaster, French opera, healthcare literacy, and many more. Presentations will take place on Mondays at 4 p.m. in Jonas 110.
