|Black Hills State University invites students and community members to learn from Master Gardeners this growing season through a new program in the BHSU Campus Garden.
During the 2016 growing season, Black Hills State University invites students and community members to learn from Master Gardeners as, together, they plant, maintain, and harvest the BHSU Campus Garden. Planting and registration will begin Wednesday, June 1, from 4-7 p.m. at the campus garden located south of the Yellow Jacket Apartments on Hillsview Drive in Spearfish.
No experience necessary. Work sessions will be led by Master Gardeners and experienced locals throughout the summer. Participants will take home their share of the harvest.
Participants are required to work at least 15 hours during the growing season to help maintain the garden, attend planting day June 1 and clean-up day at the end of the season. Hours can be completed individually or with the planting group. Participation is limited to 20 people. The cost is $20 for students and $30 for community members. Email Destiny.Durham@yellowjackets.BHSU.edu to sign up.
