Twenty-five University, business, and community members have joined the new South Dakota Center for Enterprise Opportunity (SD CEO) membership-based group W.I.N. (Women in Networking). The mission of the group is to provide an encouraging network for women, help foster their professional growth and development, and support the SD CEO Women's Business Center at Black Hills State University.
W.I.N. meets the second Tuesday of each month at the Spearfish Holiday Inn from 12 to 1 p.m. Women may attend the luncheon to experience W.I.N. before becoming a member. Membership is open to all women interested in networking. Member benefits include: the option of placing business information on the SD CEO website, the opportunity to place materials on monthly luncheon tables, priority preference for workshop exhibits, priority seating at events, member to member discounts, and $5 off all seminar registrations. A current W.I.N. membership list is available at www.BHSU.edu/SDCEO. For more information or to join W.I.N., call the SD CEO office at 605-642-6435 or register on the website.
Located on the Black Hills State University campus, the SD CEO provides business assistance and training to current and prospective entrepreneurs from start up to expansion to foster economic development in South Dakota. While services are available to all those interested in entrepreneurship, the Center places an emphasis on women’s business development. The SD CEO is funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).
