Dickinson, N.D. – The Black Hills State men’s basketball team was ranked seventh in the Dakota Athletic Conference preseason basketball poll. The defending conference champion, Mayville State was picked first in the poll.

Mayville State will return three starters from last year’s team that reached the national quarterfinals. The comets received six first place votes to top the preseason rankings. Jamestown College received a first place vote to finish second with Minot State third and Dickinson State fourth. South Dakota Tech received a first place ballot and was tied with Valley City State for fifth. Black Hills State and Dakota State rounded out the poll in seventh and eight.
