Dickinson, N.D. – The Black Hills State University volleyball team split on the first day of competition at the Dickinson Triangular on Friday. The Yellow Jackets fell in the first match of the tournament to Dickinson State 3-2, but rebounded to beat Montana State-Northern in the second match of the day 3-1.

“We struggled with consistency today,” said head coach Jennifer Weitzel.  “We would make good plays and then follow them up with errors.”

The Yellow Jackets will return to the court to complete the triangular on Saturday as they have a match with Bemidji State at 12 noon MT and then a rematch with Montana State-Northern at 2 p.m. MT.
