Valley City, N.D. – The Black Hills State softball team was eliminated from the Dakota Athletic Conference Tournament today after falling 12-7 to Jamestown.

The Yellow Jackets generated 13 hits in the game with no single player having more than two.  Katie Wagner had a three-run homerun in the third inning that gave Black Hills State a 3-2 lead.  However, even with the offensive explosion, the Yellow Jackets could not pull out the win and finish the season 14-21.

Jamestown scored in every inning except for the first.  The Jimmies scored their 12 runs on 18 hits.

The softball will host an awards luncheon on Monday, May 10 at 12:30 p.m. in the Hall of Fame Room at the Donald E. Young Center.  The cost for the public is $5.
