Minot, N.D. – The Black Hills State softball team dropped both games of a doubleheader against Minot State by scores of 3-0 and 9-8.  The losses drop the Yellow Jackets to 12-17 overall and 4-10 in Dakota Athletic Conference play.

In the first game, the game was scoreless until the fourth inning when Minot State posted a run in the bottom of the inning.  The Yellow Jackets managed only two hits during the game.

In the second game, Black Hills State trailed 7-1 entering the seventh inning.  The Yellow Jackets posted seven runs in the top of the seventh to take a 8-7 lead.  However, Minot State proved to be too much for the Yellow Jackets as the Beavers scored two runs in the bottom of the inning to win the game.

The Yellow Jackets will return to the diamond on April 24 for a doubleheader with Valley City State.  Game times are set for 1 and 3 p.m.
