The Lady Yellow Jackets faced a grueling three game road trip last Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The Jackets took on the NCAA Division I University of South Dakota Coyotes in an exhibition game in Vermillion, SD on Thursday, they then traveled to Morris Minnesota to take on the Minnesota, Morris Cougars on Friday evening and finished the weekend against the Presentation College Saints in Aberdeen, SD on Saturday.

The Lady Yellow Jackets lost to the NCAA Division I USD Coyotes 67-49 in an exhibition match in the Dakota Dome Thursday night. The Yellow Jackets were lead in scoring by sophomore Keely Krowlikowski who finished the contest with 9 points. The Lady Jackets struggled getting their shots to fall, they shot 38.8% from the field, 20% from three point land, and only 52.9% from the charity strip.

Friday evening the Black Hills State University Lady Yellow Jackets traveled to Morris, MN where they defeated the Minnesota Morris Lady Cougars 77-62. The Yellow Jackets had three players’ net double digit points for them. Sophomore Tiffany Thomas led all scorers with 17 points. Thomas finished the night with 1 rebound, 7 assists and 3 steals. With the victory the Lady Yellow Jackets improved to 9-2 on the season.

On the final day of the three day road trip the Lady Yellow Jackets took on the Presentation College Saints in Aberdeen, SD. The Yellow Jackets dominated the Saints 64-35 led by the sharp shooting of senior Brittany Fuhrman. Fuhrman shot 66% from behind the arc leading all scorers with 19 points. Katelyn Lamb had a solid performance for the Lady Yellow Jackets as well. Lamb shot 100% on the night netting herself 17 points as well as 4 assists. With the Victory the Lady Yellow Jackets improved to 10-2 on the season.

Up next for the Lady Yellow Jackets is a trip to California, where they face Hope International, and University of Biola in La Mirada, CA.
