The Yellow Jackets are off to a 2-1 start in a brutal non-conference schedule.  BHSU has played Rocky Mountain College who were defending National Champions in NAIA Division I, a tough Mount Marty College team, #4 ranked Dakota Wesleyan, Iowa State University and Northern State in Exhibition games. 

The Yellow Jackets defeated Rocky Mountain College 91-87 on Halloween night then traveled the next day to take on Iowa State University.  “This game was so good for us to see that level of competition,” said Head Coach Paul Sather.  BHSU then returned home this past weekend to take on Mount Marty College and Dakota Wesleyan University who was ranked #4 in the NAIA.  BHSU split on the weekend defeating Mount Marty College 85-64, but lost to Dakota Wesleyan University 86-98 the following night.  The Yellow Jackets then took on NCAA Division II powerhouse Northern State University this past Monday in another tough exhibition game. 

The Yellow Jackets have been led by junior guard Cain Atkinson who is averaging 22 points per, junior forward Luke Enos averaging 19 points and seven rebounds, junior guard Clay Pottorff  averaging 12 points, and junior Will John Johnson averaging a team high 12 rebounds per game.  The Yellow Jackets will now travel this weekend to Billings and Butte, Montana to take on Rocky Mountain College and Montana Tech.  Please check the schedule for exact game times.
