The Yellow Jacket Women’s Golf Team is ready to get back on the golf course and build on their most successful fall season in program history.  The Jackets finished the fall season with two tournament victories and one second place finish, and are eager to build on that success heading into the spring season. The Lady Jackets find themselves sitting on top of the Dakota Athletic Conference by three points over both Minot State and Dickinson State University.

Along with great team success the Yellow Jackets have also had individual success on the links this season.  Three BHSU golfers find themselves in the top 10 of the Dakota Athletic Conference individually.  AJ Rolfson, a senior from Rapid City, SD, is leading the conference with 61 points.  Sophomore Katelynn Lamb is tied for second with 57.5 points, and Anne Langdell, a senior from Spearfish, SD, stands in seventh place with 40 points.  “The fall season that we had gave us experience and confidence, and we are looking forward to continuing that for the rest of the year,” said Head Coach Jaime Bentley.  Junior Katie Campbell, sophomore Tamara Haines, and freshman Emily Chapman were also key contributors to the fall season success and gained valuable experience going into the spring.

The golf season opens on April 19th & 20th, in Rapid City, SD at Meadowbrook Golf Course hosted by SD School of Mines.  The Yellow Jackets then host their only home tournament of the year April 26th & 27th at Spearfish Canyon Country Club. “We are eager to have tournaments close to home this spring.  The team is very familiar with both courses we play, and that should help us as we continue toward our goal of a conference championship,” commented Coach Bentley.
