The Lady Yellow Jackets traveled 45 minutes down the road to rival South Dakota Mines with an overall record of 14-5.  BHSU jumped out early pulling away in games one and two taking an early two game lead on the Hardrockers.  In the third game South Dakota Mines bounced back winning most of the game.  Trailing 19-22 in game three the Lady Yellow Jackets kicked it into high gear and came back to win 25-23 taking the match 3-0.

“We really played strong volleyball in games one and two.  It was nice to see us come back from a sluggish start in game three to win that game and take the match 3-0” said Head Coach Jhett Albers.

The 15-5 Lady Jackets were led by sophomore Maggie O’Neill who had a solid all around game and led the way in kills with 13 for the match.  Up next will be Minot State University and Dickinson State University on the 17th and 18th of October at home in the Donald Young Center.
