American History Grant Program; Notice Inviting Grant
Applications for New Awards for FY 2001.
Teaching American History grants will support programs to
raise student achievement by improving teachers’ knowledge,
understanding, and appreciation of American history.
Eligible applicants are local educational agencies (LEAs),
working in partnership with one or more of the following
entities: Institutions
of higher education; non-profit history or humanities
organizations; and libraries and museums.
Deadline for e-mail notification of intent June 22, 2001;
deadline for transmittal of applications July 23, 2001.
