Men's Basketball Drops Two Tough Games!

The Yellow Jackets continued league play this past weekend hosting Jamestown College and Valley City State University from North Dakota. Both games were very similar with the Yellow Jackets leading by one point at halftime each night. On Friday the Yellow Jackets took a two point advantage with four minutes left to play when Jamestown College closed the game on an 18-7 run. The final score was 57-68 in favor of the Jimmies. The Yellow Jackets were led by freshman Cain Atkinson with 22 points. Freshman Luke Enos added nine points and six rebounds.
The following night against Valley City the Yellow Jackets had the advantage at halftime 36-35. In the second half Valley jumped out quick getting up by as many as 14 points 41-55. The Yellow Jackets came back with a 9-0 run to close the gap to 50-55. The Yellow Jackets would get within four points in the final four minutes but Valley then hit a few tough shots to increase their lead back to ten points. The final score was 64-75 Valley City State. The Yellow Jackets were led by senior Corey Doolan with 15 points. Freshman Cain Atkinson added 13 points.
This week the 8-9 Yellow Jackets will travel to Dakota State University and Mayville State University for two more league games. They will return home the following weekend to play Dickinson State University and Minot State University.
