Black Hills State University Volleyball Has Two Earn All-Conference Honors

Spearfish, S.D. – The Black Hills State volleyball team recently had two players receive Dakota Athletic Conference (DAC) 2nd team all-conference honors. Senior Maggie O’Neill and sophomore Kylee Lamb received these honors.
Maggie O’Neill finished a very successful career at Black Hills State; she played 463 games for the Yellow Jackets tallying 1,344 kills. O’Neill stepped up as a leader of this year’s team and was asked to play many different positions. O’Neill finished the season with 40 assists and 142 service aces.
Kylee Lamb has played 221 games for Black Hills State and has recorded 429 kills. As a freshman Lamb tallied 172 kills and her sophomore season recorded 257 kills. Lamb has 26 solo blocks and 136 assisted blocks in just two years for the Yellow Jackets.
The Yellow Jackets finished 13-20 on the season and 7-7 in conference play. Black Hills State struggled early in the season with long road trips to California and Iowa and started the season 0-6. The Yellow Jackets found a winning rotation once they got into conference play and were able to sweep conference rival S.D. Mines in their two meetings this season.
