Spearfish, S.D. – The Black Hills State athletic department is hosting a forum for the public to discuss a potential move from the NAIA to NCAA Division II.  The forum will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 11 in the Hall of Fame Room of the Donald E. Dickinson is in first place on the first day of competition they shot 348 as a team, Minot is in second place with a 351 and Black Hills State is in third place with a 359. Leading the way for the Jackets is Emily Chapman who tallied a 87 after the first day of competition.

Spearfish, S.D. – The Black Hills State University women’s basketball team had six student-athletes named NAIA Academic All-Scholars for their outstanding performances on and off the court.  The Yellow Jackets had the second most award winners in the NAIA.  There were 177 NAIA Division II women’s basketball players that met the criteria of a minimum 3.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale and were at least at a junior academic status.
