The Spearfish Area Chamber of Commerce Governmental Affairs Committee will host a District 31 Candidate Forum on Tuesday, October 5th at 6PM. The Forum will be held on campus of Black Hills State University in the Jacket Legacy Room located on the second floor of the Student Union. House candidates Chuck Turbiville, Fred Romkema and Kevin O'Dea; along with Senate candidates Nyla Griffith and Tom Nelson will be in attendance.

Ed McLaughlin and Doris Marie Strom have donated $100,000 to the Building on Strength & Stature Campaign at Black Hills State University. They are long time supporters of BHSU and have given 35 gifts in 22 years and have made a total commitment to BHSU of almost $117,000.
