The Jacket Journal, the Black Hills State University’s student newspaper, is continuing its tradition of excellence with another first place award in the 2014 American Scholastic Press Association (ASPA) annual newspaper competition.

Tom Jackson Jr., vice president for student affairs at the University of Louisville, will become the 10th president of Black Hills State University, the South Dakota Board of Regents announced Wednesday. Jackson will begin his duties in South Dakota July 3.
