Clausen, a biology and Spanish major from Sturgis, applied for the University study abroad program as a way to expand her skills and immerse herself in the Spanish culture.

Brian Shaw, a 2004 graduate of BHSU, was recently named the World's Strongest Man, earning the title for the second time in three years. Shaw will return to BHSU this month as he accepts this year's Young Alumni Achievement Award.  Shaw will be honored during halftime of the home opener of the men’s basketball game Saturday, Nov. 16.
