Award-winning teacher, humorist and author Juli Burney will bring her comedic style to Black Hills State University for a presentation that touches on a variety of topics from humor in the workplace to owning the moment. Burney’s presentation is Thursday, April 25 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon in the Clare & Josef Meier Recital Hall on the BHSU campus, and is sponsored by BHSU Human Resources, the Career Service Act Council and the South Dakota Center for Enterprise Opportunity (SD CEO) located on the BHSU campus.

Sixteen Black Hills State University senior art and art education students are exhibiting their work during the annual Senior Art Exit Exhibition in the Ruddell Gallery, located on the second floor of the David B. Miller Yellow Jacket Student Union. The exhibit will be on display through April 26.

When Charles Rambow was deciding on the subject for his master’s thesis paper in 1970, he didn’t have to look very far for inspiration. He found the topic in some old clothes his mother had cleaned out of his grandparents’ closet.

Rambow was shocked to learn that what he thought was a choir robe was actually his grandfather’s Ku Klux Klan initiation robe.
