Dr. James Hesson, professor in the division of Physical Education and Health in the College of Education at Black Hills State University, has been nominated for national recognition by Marquis Who’s Who. He has also been invited to give two presentations at the annual convention of the Texas Community College Teachers Association.

thumb_scottie_bruch.jpgResponding to a shortage of trained librarians in the state, Black Hills State University developed a library media program that is available entirely online. This fall the BHSU College of Education and the E.Y. Berry Library-Learning Center reintroduced the library media program in a completely online format. The program has generated a lot of interest and enrollment tripled this fall.

The BHSU College of Education students who will enhance their education with an international student teaching experience are: Kayla Morrison, Deadwood; Jennifer Doak, Gillette, Wyo.; and Abby Blaha, Rapid City, who will all be traveling to New Zealand; and Megan Bietz, Gillette, Wyo., who will be student teaching in Australia.

Young Sports and Fitness Center giving students the opportunity to gain essential experience as a part of several changes at the Young Center. The students will become much more involved in fitness training as well as becoming involved in management and operational roles.
