BHSU to hold events celebrating recent athletic success

The Black Hills State University athletic department announced plans today to host multiple events celebrating the Yellow Jackets recent athletic success.

The women’s basketball team will be at the Stadium Sports Grill in downtown Spearfish Sunday, March 9 at 6 p.m. for Yellow Jacket fan appreciation night.  Fans are encouraged to come and wish the team well.

A send-off gathering is scheduled for the women’s basketball team Monday, March 10 as they head to Sioux City, Iowa for the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Division II women’s basketball tournament. The send-off will take place at 12 noon at the Donald E. Young Sports and Fitness Center on the BHSU campus.

Following the send-off gathering on Monday, fans are invited to join the men’s and women’s track and field teams as they return from the NAIA Indoor Track and Field Championships in Johnson City, Tenn.

BHSU is also hosting a pep rally at the women’s basketball tournament in Sioux City, Iowa. The pep rally will take place on Wed., March 12 at 5 p.m. at Famous Dave’s BBQ in Sioux City. All Yellow Jacket fans are welcome to attend.

Fans that are unable to cheer on the Yellow Jackets in person can watch the games on television at the Stadium Sports Grill in Spearfish. The Stadium Sports Grill will broadcast all of the BHSU women's basketball tournament games.
