Yellow Jackets to face Rio Grande in first round of NAIA National Tournament

The Black Hills State University women’s basketball team (26-5) will face the University of Rio Grande (23-7) in the first round of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Division II women’s basketball tournament. Game time is set for 5:45 p.m. (Central Standard Time) Thursday, March 13 in Sioux City, Iowa.

Mark Nore, BHSU head women’s basketball coach, was excited after hearing the official announcement. “It is nice to finally know who we are going to play,” said Nore. “It is an exciting time for everyone involved in our program.  Now that the bracket is out, we can really begin focusing on our game preparations.”

BHSU will have a send-off gathering for the women’s basketball team Monday, March 10, at 12 noon at the Donald E. Young Sports and Fitness Center on the BHSU campus. The team will depart from the Young Center. All are welcome to attend and wish the team well.
