The South Dakota Center for Enterprise Opportunity (SD CEO) Women’s Business Center at Black Hills State University will be hosting a Project Management workshop at BHSU Rapid City (Room 105) Wednesday, Feb. 1 from 9 a.m.-3:30 pm.
Workshop attendees will gain the basic project management skills necessary to complete projects on time, on budget, and on target. From planning, that includes budgets and schedules, to better team communication, to reducing stress and increasing your chances of success with your project. Participants are encouraged to come with a project idea, and learn how to better manage it while at the workshop. Dr. Rachel MK Headley, owner and principal of Cobblestone Science, a management consulting company located in Spearfish, will be instructing this daylong workshop. Dr. Headley is a certified project management professional with the Project Management Institute and this will be her third year in a row teaching this workshop.
“Project management can offer benefits to business regardless of their size, or the scale of projects they need to manage. This workshop will benefit CEO’s, owners, managers, and employees in nearly all business or industries,” says Helen Merriman, Director of SDCEO.
Cost of the workshop is $149 per person and seating is limited. Registration deadline is Monday, Jan. 25. To register or to learn more, visit www.BHSU.edu/SDCEO or call Andrea Bakeberg, at 605-642-6435.
