BHSU professors to attend annual Western Literature Association Conference

Black Hills State University faculty members Dr. David Cremean and Dr. Christine Shearer-Cremean will attend and present work at the Western Literature Association (WLA) Conference in Tacoma, Wash., Oct. 16-21. Both Cremean and Shearer-Cremean will attend meetings, presentations, and various discussions about Western literature.

Cremean is the active vice president and designated president-elect of the WLA.    BHSU will host the WLA Conference while Cremean is president in fall of 2009.

Both faculty members received their master’s degrees in English from the University of Dayton and doctoral degrees in English from Bowling Green State University.  Cremean has been a member of the BHSU faculty since 2002.  Shearer-Cremean has been a BHSU faculty member since 2000.
