University Center – Rapid City recognizes outstanding students

The University Center-Rapid City (UC-RC) will celebrate the accomplishments of students from each of the six state universities during its annual awards program Sunday, April 27 at 2 p.m. 

Students, faculty and staff have the opportunity to nominate students to receive one of the Celebrating and Encouraging Networking, Teamwork, Engagement, and Recognition (CENTER) awards. A selection committee comprised of educational experts and student representatives choose the recipient from the nominations received.

The University Center- Rapid City (UC-RC) is a partnership among South Dakota's six public universities: Black Hills State University, Dakota State University, Northern State University, South Dakota School of Mines & Technology, South Dakota State University, and the University of South Dakota, working cooperatively to deliver accessible, high-quality education in one convenient location.
Awards include: Outstanding Undergraduate Students, Outstanding Graduate Students, Outstanding Veteran Student, and Director’s Award for Academic Achievement.
