The South Dakota Center for Enterprise Opportunity (SD CEO) at Black Hills State University, in partnership with Leah Braun, Life Coach and Professional Trainer, will host a workshop, “TEAM Forum: Together Everyone Achieves More,” to be held at Black Hills State University Thursday, March 13 from 9-11:30 a.m. at the David B. Miller Yellow Jacket Student Union Jacket Legacy Room.
Helen Merriman, director of the SD CEO, encourages all employers, managers, and working professionals to register for this workshop. Merriman says, “Whether you are a manager or a team member, this workshop will give you techniques to improve team performance and satisfaction.” Participants will take away communication tools and techniques that enable effective speaking, listening, and giving feedback; tips for building and maintaining powerful teams; and problem solving techniques that allow teams to move through challenges.
Braun provides powerful, personalized life coaching and customized staff development training for individuals, organizations, and businesses. She spent 22 years in the S.D. Army National Guard before she retired at the rank of master sergeant. She has a degree in education from BHSU, and a master’s degree from University of South Dakota. She earned a life coaching certification from the International Coach Academy and is a member of International Coach Federation. She is also active with various volunteer and networking organizations in the community.
