| Black Hills State University alumni, including former track and field and cross country athletes, are invited to participate in the 22nd annual Alumni Mile weekend.
Black Hills State University alumni, including former track & field and cross country athletes, are encouraged to participate in the 22nd annual Alumni Mile weekend Jan. 24 and 25.
“This event allows for our current student athletes to connect with athletes from the past,” said BHSU head track and field coach Seth Mischke. “The support from the Stadium Sports Grill helps make this event possible.”
Friday, Jan. 24, the “warm-up” will take place with an evening social at the Stadium Sports Grill in downtown Spearfish.
Saturday, Jan. 25, the Alumni Mile begins at 12:15 p.m. in the Donald E. Young Sports & Fitness Center Field House preceding the Dave Little Invitational college track meet.
Following the Alumni Mile and the college track meet mile races, there will be “finish line” activities with lunch served in the Yellow Jacket Hall of Fame Room sponsored by the Stadium Sports Grill.
The “cool down” begins at 4 p.m. with a social at the Stadium.
The Alumni Mile is an annual fundraiser for BHSU cross country and track and field athlete scholarships.
