On-Demand software training available for QuickBooks users

The South Dakota Center for Enterprise Opportunity (SD CEO) at Black Hills State University has partnered with the CPA firm of Casey Peterson & Associates, Ltd, to offer On-Demand QuickBooks training webinars starting Wednesday, Jan. 1.

The two firms have joined to provide a new format for QuickBooks training. Users will be able to pick and choose which lessons they want to purchase and access at a time that works best for them. This added convenience will help busy business owners and bookkeepers who do not have time during the normal work day to attend traditional training seminars.

This initial offering will consist of five webinar lessons designed for a beginner level of learning.  On-demand training for advanced Quickbooks users will be available in the future. Each lesson will be available for $35 each or all five lessons can be purchased in a package price of $129.  Users will be able to login to a portal to access the training on their own time, day or night.

Leah Heidler, a member of the accounting and tax team of Casey Peterson & Associates, is the webinar instructor. She is a QuickBooks ProAdvisor and a regular presenter for the firm’s online and face-to-face QuickBooks training classes. Heidler, who has been with the firm for over five years, works with a number of small businesses in the areas of accounting software setup, consulting, troubleshooting, as well as bookkeeping, financial reporting, payroll, and sales tax.

Each webinar will last approximately 55 minutes. Webinar topics include:  Lesson 1: Getting Started with QuickBooks; Lesson 2:  Working with Bank Accounts; Lesson 3:  Entering Sales Information; Lesson 4:  Working with Vendors & Payables; and Lesson 5:  Ways to Be More Efficient Using QuickBooks.
