Award-winning teacher, humorist and author Juli Burney will bring her comedic style to Black Hills State University for a presentation that touches on a variety of topics from humor in the workplace to owning the moment.
Burney’s presentation is Thursday, April 25 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon in the Clare & Josef Meier Recital Hall on the BHSU campus, and is sponsored by BHSU Human Resources, the Career Service Act Council and the South Dakota Center for Enterprise Opportunity (SD CEO) located on the BHSU campus. The talk is provided for BHSU faculty, staff and students at no charge, but the public is welcome to attend at a cost of $40. Burney is a nationally recognized speaker who has been honored by her home state of Iowa as Artist of the Year because of her ability to improve people’s lives through humor and the effective use of communication tools. She entertains with the ability of a headlining comedian while motivating or training her audience. She has worked in all continental United States as well as Canada, and has been commissioned to develop training programs by a variety of associations from the National Endowment of the Arts to Fortune 500 companies. She has filmed for Showtime and HBO, along with making numerous guest appearances on radio and television programs.
